Heritage Oaks Park Design Concepts
Feedback received from on-site community engagement and Scavenger Hunt events, online surveys and a Virtual Workshop held in conjunction with a Special Parks, Recreation and Intergenerational Services (PRIS) Commission meeting were incorporated into initial design concepts and shared at the October 5, 2021, PRIS Commission meeting for additional feedback from the public and Commission members.
Heritage Oaks Park Virtual Workshop
The results of the community engagement effort were compiled into draft concept proposals that were shared at a joint Parks, Recreation and Intergenerational Services Commission/Virtual Workshop meeting scheduled for September 13, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
To reduce the spread of COVID-19, members of the public were asked to watch the meeting Livestream, or via Wave Cable Channel 20.
Heritage Oaks Master Plan Open House Events

To wrap up July as Parks Make Life Better Month, the city hosted a master planning effort for Heritage Oaks Park with two Open House events.
The City held two in-person Open House events at Heritage Oaks Park.
- Thursday, July 29 from 9:30am to 11:30am. Coffee and donuts were provided and the event followed by a free Zumba Gold class at 11:30am)
- Friday, July 30 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm, with a shaved ice truck.
Participants were able to provide feedback, enjoy refreshments, and enjoy virtual interactive mobile games in the form of a scavenger hunt and Agents of Discovery throughout the park site.
